 Walk-in Blood Drive Schedule

"Nothing  beats the feeling of knowing you are saving someone's life! "

"I needed blood once. Red Cross donors saved my life. That's why I've become a donor. No one knows when they're going to need blood."

"Thanks to Red Cross blood donors I still have my husband and my kids still have  their father. We're  both donors, now."

"We donate blood because a neighbor's child needs it. It's the least we can do to keep him alive."

The stories never end because the need never ends. Accidents, scheduled surgeries, street violence, natural disasters all drive the statistic that every two seconds someone, somewhere across the country needs a transfusion to survive. Winter, summer, rain or shine, the need for donors to take a half-hour out of their busy schedules and save a life never changes. Consequently, the American Red Cross, the largest supplier of blood services in the United States continues to schedule blood drives in every community.

Eligible Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 lbs and be in good health. There is no upper age limit to donate. One donation can save as many as three peoples lives.

Walk-ins are welcome at any of the blood donor locations as well as at the Fairfield County Donor Center, 596 Westport Avenue, Norwalk, or donors needing a specific  time at any of the sites may call for an appointment. To make an "appointment"  call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543)
